Try-It: Rock Climbing

Come try rock climbing outdoors on natural rock as we teach you about basic climbing movements and how to navigate outdoor climbing sites.

Directions: Meet at Top O’ Ledges Picnic Area
Ages: 8 years & over (Minors between the ages of 8-17 MUST have a registered and participating adult)
Fee: $7.50 per person (All guests MUST register)
Terrain/Distance: Natural surface terrain with steep grades, exposed cliff edges, and rocks
Our professionally trained staff will teach you the simple basics about climbing. You’ll discover how fun, yet challenging climbing natural rock outside can be. The entire program will be spent outside; please dress appropriately for the weather. Dressing in non-cotton layers is encouraged. This program may be cancelled if weather conditions do not permit climbing to take place. Please bring a completed waiver and review the equipment list. Classes will begin promptly, so plan to arrive early.

Program fees and deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable to another date/program unless Cleveland Metroparks finds it necessary to cancel a program. Participants assume risk of all changes in personal health and affairs. By registering, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the cancellation policy.
