Learn-It: Rock Climbing

Climb on natural rock while learning knots, how to belay, proper climbing techniques, and climbing terminology.

Directions: Meet at Top O’ Ledges Picnic Area
Ages: 12 years & over (Minors between the ages of 12-17 MUST have a registered and participating adult)
Fee: $32 per person (All guests MUST register)
Terrain/Distance: Natural surface terrain with steep grades, exposed cliff edges, and rocks
Includes: rock climbing equipment

Our professionally trained staff will help you experience the thrill of climbing on natural rock at Hinckley Reservation. Learn knots, climbing lingo, proper climbing techniques, and how to belay (must be at least 14 years old to belay on your own). The entire program will be spent outside; please dress appropriately for the weather. Dressing in non-cotton layers is encouraged. Please bring a completed waiver and review the equipment list. Classes will begin promptly, so plan to arrive early.
